The results of the governments public consultation on disposable vaping products in Oct 2023 revealed only 37% of people sampled out of the 3,215 asked knew how to dispose of disposable vapes while over 90% of people agree that disposable vapes are an environmental concern and 85% want to see them banned
By law, retailers of WEEE products must offer take-back services so consumers can responsibly dispose of their electronic goods. They must also host signage advertising these take-back services. We are concerned that disposable vape retailers are not following the rules.
