BT Young Scientist Exhibition
Max also appeared at the BT Young Scientist Exhibition in Dublin in January, in which he spoke to David Craig, from the Dublin Institute of Advanced Studies on what he thought of the event. During the BT Young Scientist Exhibition, David was located in the Geo-Science Department as an Equipment Technician where he worked on the Seismic Equipment Pool as well as the Marine Equipment Pool. David expressed how impressed he was by the kid’s projects and their interest. He has high hopes of some of the students working in Earth Sciences like himself.
Youth Climate Change Conference, Kicoole.
On November 16th, 2023, the first ever Wicklow Youth Climate Change Conference was held and hosted by Coláiste Chraobh Abhann in Kilcoole and supported by Codling Wind Park. Max caught up with Pat Sammon, the External Affairs Manager at Codling Wind Park about his thoughts on the conference. He expressed how incredible the energy was at the conference and how impressed he was by the student’s gusto, motivation and focus at the event. He hopes that there is a future from for these types of conferences as he can see young people are fit for the challenge that is Climate Action.
