Bord Bia Bloom is an annual festival which promotes sustainability amongst an uplifting and innovative horticulture, food, and drink experience with nature. Taking place at the June Bank Holiday weekend (May 30th- June 3rd).

In this year’s Bord Bia Bloom festival, Robert Moore is showing a large garden called ‘Together we Grow.‘ Associated with TUSLA, ‘Together we Grow‘ highlights fostering in Ireland.

The garden is designed to represent the fostering journey with a distinct palette of materials creating a juxtaposition between the challenges one faces along any journey and the optimism and love that envelops the fostering story. Corten steel is used extensively with a natural, wispy, flowing planting scheme to highlight the hope and love shared by foster families. The garden is designed to represent hop and a positive future.

Over 150,000 people are expected to visit Bord Bia Bloom this year, hoping for sunny spells in the June bank holiday.

For Robert, gardening has been a creative outlet for him as well as being a sustainable hobby for him. This years is Robert’s fourth show garden for Bord Bia Bloom. He has won many awards, including a gold medal for the Marie Keating Foundation ‘Catching Cancer Early’ Garden (2023) and the People’s Choice Award for the Memories Are Made of This – Dementia: Understand Together Garden (2019).
