Artists Anne Cleary & Denis Connolly are navigating Ireland’s inland waterways meeting local artists, scientists, and communities to spark climate action.

The Mayfair has been undertaking a zero carbon journey to the east – along the Shannon, Grand Canal and Barrow – from Askeaton on the Shannon’s Atlantic estuary to Howth Harbour on the Irish Sea.

The aim of the project is to spark a countrywide artistic response to climate change.

The boat is moored in Carlow Town Park between today and Saturday, before moving on the St. Mullin’s and Graiguenamannagh in the coming weeks.
