Listen back to LMFM first programme in the ‘Ours To Protect’ series. On Tuesday Gerry Kelly was by gardener Nicky Kyle and Louth Conservation Ranger with the National Parks and Wildlife Service, Jennifer Lynch.

Jennifer spoke about one of the biggest problems at this time of year, which is hedgecutting and removal of hedgerows around the region which is having a devastating impact on vegetation and wildlife.

Nicky shared her new ideas and seasonal tips for how you can still grow your own, organic, sustainable and peat-free healthy food, while also caring for biodiversity, the environment and ultimately the planet.
