On last week’s episode, we heard from Aoife O’Mahony from Fair Seas about the Special Areas of Conservation – or SACs – in Ireland’s oceans and what needs to be done to better protect our marine life.
This week, Aoife’s colleague, Grace Carr, who is part of the Fair Seas team and also Marine Advocacy Officer with the Irish Wildlife Trust delves deeper into the Dundalk Bay SAC and what endangered species live in the estuary.
We also hear from Aoife again who has some practical everyday things we can we do at home to help protect our oceans and the Fair Seas campaign manager tells us about group’s Ocean Literacy survey, which remains open until the end of the summer.
More information about protecting our oceans can be found on the Fair Seas website here while the group’s Ocean Literacy survey can be completed here.
