The European Union’s flagship environmental policies have delivered results, according to the President of the European Commission.
The EU’s Green Deal aims to cut emissions and improve the environment in exchange for billions of Euro of investment in renewables and green industries.
In a speech in Prague recently, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that there is still a long way to go, but she believes the EU is on the right track.

According to CNLI, On an annual basis 30.4 million disposable single-use nappies, equating to 4,654 tonnes (UK DEFRA Report) of plastic waste is generated in Meath & Louth. (Nationally the figure is 420 million).
These will take up to 500 years to break down due to the plastic components, generating 830k* tonnes (UK DEFRA Report) of carbon.
Meath County Council have agreed to work with the organisation and fund two new nappy loan kits which will be based in Tara and Trim.
