Electric Vehicles play a central role in Ireland’s Climate Action Plan, in decarbonisation of our transport sector, and in eliminating emissions from our private car fleet.
The Irish government has targets of reaching 180,000 Electric Vehicles (EVs) on our roads by the end of this year and 936,000 by 2030.
This is part of Ireland’s ambitious Climate Action Plan target of a 51% reduction in transport emissions by 2030.
People are slowly moving to electric vehicles while many still have questions about EVs including some pupils from Ennis CBS Primary.
Today we’ll also hear from Eddie Rynne is General Manager of Sheils Motor Group as well as EV owner John Casey, who founded the Clare EV Owners Group.
